# Making your 1st trade

Your first trade on Fuyo Markets is designed to be simple — even if you’ve never used DeFi or a prediction market before. You’ll pick a market, choose a side (YES/NO or Higher/Lower), enter an amount, and confirm after seeing a clear payout preview.

***

#### Step 1 — Deposit Funds

Follow the How to Deposit guide to fund your Fuyo Markets account.

{% hint style="info" %}
Always make sure you select a supported token and the correct network when sending. Transactions sent to the wrong network or address cannot be reversed.
{% endhint %}

***

#### Step 2 — Pick a Market

Go to Markets and choose something simple for your first try, like:

* BTC 15-min Close: Higher or Lower

You’ll always see:

* The market available
* Expiry time
* Current odds and payout preview

***

#### Step 3 — Choose Your Side

For most markets you’ll choose either:

* YES / NO, or
* HIGHER / LOWER

Example market:

“Will BTC close higher in the next 15 minutes?”

* HIGHER means BTC’s close at expiry is higher than the reference price shown.
* LOWER means BTC’s close at expiry is lower (or lower/equal depending on the rule).

{% hint style="info" %}
Some markets treat “exactly equal” as LOWER. Others may refund. The market Rules will state this.
{% endhint %}

***

#### Step 4 — Enter Stake Amount

Type how much you want to stake (e.g., 10 USD, 20 USD, 50 USD).

Before confirming, you will see:

* Your stake
* Your chosen side
* Your odds
* Your potential payout if you win

{% hint style="info" %}
Start small (like 10–20 USD) just to understand how prediction markets work.
{% endhint %}

***

#### Step 5 — Confirm Your Trade

Once you confirm:

* Your position is placed immediately
* You can track it in Dashboard
* The market will settle automatically at expiry

***

#### Step 6 — Settlement & Payout

At expiry, Fuyo resolves the market using the listed data sources (e.g., Binance live feed API and/or Chainlink Data Streams).

* If you win → payout is credited to your balance
* If you lose → your stake is not returned

{% hint style="info" %}
If there’s a dispute caused by data quality issues for that specific market, Fuyo will refund all traders in that market.
{% endhint %}

#### Mini Case Study (Alice’s First Trade)

Alice is new to prediction markets. She:

1. deposits 50 USDT (BEP-20) on BNB Chain
2. opens BTC 15-min Close: Higher/Lower
3. chooses HIGHER because BTC looks strong
4. sees the payout preview and confirms

15 minutes later, BTC closes higher → Alice wins and her payout is credited automatically.
