# How Leaderboard Score Is Calculated

Your Fuyo leaderboard score is a number between **0 and 100**. It is built from three components, each measuring a different dimension of your trading behaviour.

## The three core components

<table><thead><tr><th width="203.76171875">Component</th><th width="130.51171875">Weight</th><th>What it measures</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Consistency Score</strong></td><td><strong>50%</strong></td><td>How regularly you trade and how many trades you place per active day</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Efficiency Score</strong></td><td><strong>40%</strong></td><td>How well your trades performed, adjusted for how many trades you placed</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Profit Score</strong></td><td><strong>10%</strong></td><td>The real USD profit you made, compressed so large capital doesn't dominate</td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="success" %}
**Consistency is worth the most.** A trader who shows up every day and places 7–8 trades per session will outscore a trader who places one giant trade with huge returns.&#x20;

This is intentional — the leaderboard rewards the kind of engagement that makes the platform better for everyone, not just whales or bots.

### Consistency Score (50%)

This is the most important updated component and the biggest change from the previous leaderboard formula.

Consistency Score looks at **two things**:

#### 1. How many trades you place per active day (85% of Consistency Score)

The target is **8 trades per active day**. You don't need to hit exactly 8 — every trade you place per session moves this needle.

| Avg trades per active day | Daily activity rating |
| ------------------------- | --------------------- |
| 1 trade/day               | 12.5%                 |
| 4 trades/day              | 50%                   |
| 6 trades/day              | 75%                   |
| 8+ trades/day             | 100% (maximum)        |

#### 2. Your trading streak (15% of Consistency Score)

Your streak is the number of consecutive UTC days you have been active (at least 1 USD resolved stake per day).

| Streak  | Streak bonus   |
| ------- | -------------- |
| 1 day   | 0%             |
| 2 days  | 10%            |
| 3 days  | 20%            |
| 5 days  | 30%            |
| 7 days  | 40%            |
| 10 days | 50%            |
| 14 days | 80%            |
| 30 days | 100% (maximum) |

**Why daily trade frequency matters more than streak alone:** Streak only tells us you traded *something* each day. Trade frequency tells us you were genuinely engaged. A trader placing 8 trades per day over 5 days is more valuable to the platform than a trader who places 1 trade per day for 10 days — even though the second trader has a longer streak.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Practical tip:** Focus on placing multiple trades per session rather than just logging in once a day. Aim for 5–8 trades per active day to maximise your Consistency Score.
{% endhint %}

### Efficiency Score (40%)

This component measures how good your trading is — but it has an important guard built in.

#### How ROI is measured

Your return on investment (profit as a percentage of stake) is run through a **logarithmic scale**. This means:

* Going from break-even to +200% return is rewarded significantly.
* Going from +1000% to +1800% on a single trade gives almost no additional benefit.

This stops single lucky trades from dominating the score.

#### The trade count adjustment

Your raw trading efficiency is **scaled down if you have placed fewer than 8 trade**.

| Total trades placed | Efficiency applied |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------ |
| 1 trade             | \~12.5% of your raw efficiency |
| 4 trades            | 50% of your raw efficiency     |
| 8+ trades           | Full efficiency (100%)         |

This means someone who placed 1 trade with a 1799% return scores far lower than someone who placed 20 trades with a 100% return. Efficiency has to be proven across meaningful trading activity, not just one trade.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Common misconception:** A very high profit percentage does not automatically mean a high rank. Without enough trades to back it up, your Efficiency Score is significantly reduced. You need at least 8 trades to get the full benefit of your trading performance.
{% endhint %}

### Profit Score (10%)

This component looks at your **actual USD profit** — the raw money made, not the percentage.

It is log-scaled with a target of 1,000 USD in absolute profit. This means:

* Making 100 USD in real profit earns a solid contribution.
* Making 1,000 USD or more maxes out the component.
* Making 5,000 USD does not score higher than 1,000 USD — the log scale caps the advantage of very large capital.

This component is intentionally kept at a low 10% weight so that traders with large bankrolls don't simply buy their way to the top of the leaderboard.

| Absolute profit | Profit Score contribution to final score |
| --------------- | ---------------------------------------- |
| 0 USD           | 0.0                                      |
| 100 USD         | \~0.7 points                             |
| 500 USD         | \~0.9 points                             |
| 1,000 USD       | 1.0 point (maximum)                      |

### How the three components combine

Your final score is:

```
Score = (Consistency Score × 50%) + (Efficiency Score × 40%) + (Profit Score × 10%)
```

The result is expressed as a number out of 100.

#### Example: who beats whom and why

Here are six trader types and how they rank under this formula:

| Rank | Trader type | Key reason for this rank |
| ---- | -------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| 🥇 1 | **Consistent grinder** — 144 trades over 14 days | Highest Consistency Score by a large margin. Also profitable in absolute terms. |
| 🥈 2 | **Casual daily trader** — 35 trades over 5 days, 7/day average | Strong daily trade frequency lifts Consistency above the whale despite lower total volume. |
| 🥉 3 | **Volume whale** — 50 trades, 20,000 USDT staked | High absolute profit, but only 5 trades/day average pulls Consistency below the casual trader. |
| 4 | **Lucky newcomer** — 5 trades, 300% return | Great Efficiency Score, but only 5 trades means full efficiency isn't unlocked. Low consistency. |
| 5 | **Moderately active** — 20 trades, 7-day streak | Decent across all three, but not leading in any. |
| 6 | **Sybil exploiter** — 2 trades, 1000% return, then dormant | Single-session account. Consistency Score near zero. Trades count gate decimates Efficiency Score. |

{% hint style="success" %}
Notice that the casual daily trader (35 trades over 5 days) **outranks the volume whale** (50 trades, 20,000 USDT staked). This is because the casual trader places 7 trades per active day vs the whale's 5 trades per day — and Consistency is worth 50% of the score.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

#### What has not changed

The following rules carry over from previous leaderboard versions and are unchanged:

* Only **resolved** trades count. Open, pending, and void trades are ignored.
* Both weekly and all-time use the **same formula** — only the time window differs.
* The leaderboard is updated live at **market settlement**, not on a fixed schedule.
* **XP is separate** from leaderboard score. XP is a reward; your score is your rank. They are calculated independently.
